I have been messing around with some programs to make fractals and thought I would share the results. These could be icons, they could be backgrounds/bases and some could even be textures. Depends on how creative you are.

Example Icons



The first three icons/textures are actually not fractals - they are a Photoshop tutorial and darn - I lost the site. The others were made with Apophysis software or various online fractal generators. Easy to google.


Credit would be nice but not necessary.

Your timing is amazing - I just made my first batch of icons ever using textures and I want to get more experience in that area. I'm ganking a ton of them (if not all) and will most definitely credit you for them when used.

I must have known you were looking for something like these! Textures are fun but can be tricky, I tend to struggle with them but maybe that is just me.

I know what you mean. Like I said, I just started with them. The PR icons in my last post are the only ones where I used them. I found a good tutorial that helped me through it a bit, and I'll probably go back to that person's LJ for more help. I got the link from [livejournal.com profile] sg1_debrief to the tutorial but can't remember whose it was off the top of my head.

And guess what, I finally found an instruction manual for my Photoshop Version Stone Age, so instead of mucking around in the dark, I can look it up. The art of layering is within my grasp! :)

i absolutely love 4, 6, 16, 17, i'm saving them =D
the truth is i like the others too, especially 1, 3, 20, but you know me, i do not exactely make original graphics lol, so i wouldnt know how to work with them :p

It is fun to play with! Then you can augment with photoshop - sharpen, adjust colors, whatever. Wish I actually knew enough about the math to understand it though.
