Icon Meme

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

Stargate Atlantis puddle jumper.
From one of the first icon contests I ever entered. The challenge was to do pop art. I cut out the puddle jumper and just added a bunch of shapes from Photoshop and the word whoosh. Although - the jumper shouldn't whoosh in space, only in atmosphere.

My Mantra - this will be long.
This is a quote from an episode of Northern Exposure where Chris the DJ and artist wanted to fling a cow using a trebuchet as performance art. When he found out that someone else (Monty Python) had already flung a cow he was despondent. Then he saw a half destroyed piano and decided to fling it instead. The entire town watched in wonder as the piano sailed through the air with pieces flying and crashed to the ground in a cacophony of sound.
You can see the final scene here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppShcRlJeZI

What it means to me is this - it's not what you create, it is the process of creating. Doing something is better than doing nothing and what or where you end up doesn't really matter. Just dance.

Ianto Jones from Torchwood - Always Ready
Sort of a triple meaning here. The preamble to Torchwood says "The 21st century is where everything changes. You've got to be ready" or "The 21st century is where everything changes and Torchwood is ready".
Ianto is always ready with coffee.
Ianto is always ready for sex with Jack Harkness.
Read into it whatever you want!

Jack O'Neill from Stargate SG-1
Jack knows he shouldn't tap on the glass but he just has to anyway. I added the sign to emphasize it and put it in reverse as if you are looking through the glass.

Doctor Who - Who let the dog out?
For those who don't know (and how could you not!) - Doctor Who lives in that blue box called the TARDIS. He has a robot dog called K-9. K-9 is outside the TARDIS. Nothing more than that!

John Sheppard and Ronon Dex from Stargate Atlantis
John has called Ronon Chewy several times. Nothing more than that. This image looked like Star Wars. Simple like me.
